We have a number of opportunities available in our factory in  Willand, Devon , which has been continually processing for over 100 years.  The working hours for this position- AM-05:00am- 15:15pm PM- 15:30pm-00:00am The rate of pay for the  Trussing Operative  role is  £13.11 per hour. The hours of work for this role is based on a  3 weekly Rota.  Week 1  (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)  Week 2  (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday)  Week 3  (Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday)  You could be joining us as a  Trussing Operative.   This role   includes the following duties:  Trussing wholebirds to the required speed Lining baskets Helping with the other lines in the Production area Working to the high standards required for our customers  Working to high standards in Food Safety and Health and Safety Working with a multi-cultural team of enthusiastic employees.  We will provide full training in terms of Food Safety, Quality, Health and Safety and how to be a Trussing Operative. We will teach you the differences in customer requirements. No experience will be required just come with a "Can do" attitude. In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.    You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue.
