Job description

We currently have permanent vacancies in our Primary team, in  Willand, Devon . The post is working days on a 3 week rotating pattern: Week 1- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Week 2- Wednesday, Thursday ,Friday and Saturday Week 3- Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday   The Hours of work are:  04:45am-15:00pm  OR  Monday - Friday PM : 15:15pm - 23:45pm  The rate of pay for this position is:  £14.11 The main responsibility for this role is to select birds from crates and shackle onto the moving line.  You'll undertake training with an official training body to enable you to obtain a full license to handle live birds.   We will provide full training in terms of Food Safety, Quality, Health and Safety and Full training for this role as a  Primary Hanging Operative. We will teach you the differences in customer requirements. No experience will be required just come with a "Can do" attitude. In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.    You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue.
