Where these numbers come from
We read UK employers' own careers pages every night. Most adverts give no salary at all, and these figures come from the 2,924 that do — the number the employer wrote down, not a self-reported one and not a projection.
Each figure is a median, not an average: one £90,000 trading role would drag a mean upwards and tell you nothing about the job you are applying for. Every row shows how many adverts it rests on, and anything under 20 is marked as a small sample — treat those as a hint rather than a fact.
Built 18 October 2026 and rebuilt as the feed grows. Salaries vary enormously within a field: a graduate software role in London and one in Newcastle are both "technology", and the gap between them is wider than the gap between most fields.
